Welcome to the New Democratic Party of Canada's Quebec Section website.
Since the orange wave of 2011, our section has seen an important increase in its number of members, showing that the NDP is a political force deeply rooted in Quebec. Our MPs, volunteers and staff are present in every region of the province, in order to listen to you. Quebec plays a crucial role in the NDP, especially after the election in 2012 of the first NDP leader coming from Quebec : Thomas Mulcair.
Supported by its members, the Quebec Section has the mandate of mobilizing active members, recruiting new ones, ensuring the health of our internal democracy and the party’s visibility in Quebec. We are determined to show that our party is much more than an organization, a true social-democratic movement.
On this website, you will find our policies and positions on various issues, as well as useful information regarding our events, our MPs and our leader. We hope that this information will convince you to become a member (if that’s not already the case), to participate in our activities, to become a volunteer or to make a donation, thus contributing to the social-democratic movement we support and to the election of a first truly progressive government in Canada in 2019: an NDP government.
